PORTAL – UNLIMITED ACCESS WORLDWIDE

YOUR PROJECT IN LIVE, BEAUTIFUL, HIGH RESOLUTION

As part of our service, we provide you a link to your dedicated Project Portal. This secure webpage showcases all images captured by the cameras on your project, including time-lapse footage and other visuals related to the project.

Each image includes a timestamp, allowing you to see exactly when each photo was taken. This feature makes it easy to revisit any moment in your project’s timeline and observe its progress.

The Portal is user-friendly and contains a comprehensive archive of all images recorded by our cameras, giving you a convenient way to track your project. Our custom system combines state-of-the-art DSLR cameras with a sophisticated computer backend, enabling us to record every project in 4K, 8K, or higher resolution.

Images are transmitted from the cameras to our servers, regardless of their location. With the addition of SiteStream cameras, you also receive HD video clips of your project, alongside still images. This allows you to record your entire project in HD video, which you can access and search via your portal.

SITE MONITORING AND IMAGE ARCHIVING

ACCESSIBLE AND IMMEDIATE
IMAGE SHARING

Site Monitoring
As part of our service, our cameras produce a timestamped “monitor” image that is sent to our servers immediately after capturing the shot. This process takes just a couple of minutes over a 4G network or mere seconds with a fixed ADSL line.

The initial image arrives at a reduced resolution to save time and provide an immediate update, while the high-resolution image is sent separately. We make the latest image available through a web link.

For cameras equipped with streaming capabilities, we also provide a web link for viewing the live stream directly in your browser. If you would like to test our system, please click the button below to contact us or chat with us online.

High Resolution Image Archive

We offer a secure web portal for all our projects, featuring a high-resolution archive of every image captured by our cameras. These images can be viewed and downloaded in full resolution, and the archive keeps detailed information about when each image was taken, making it easy to browse for a specific point in time.

Additionally, the image archive includes several useful tools. One such tool is the batch download feature, which allows users to download all images from a specified time period as a single, well-organized ZIP file. We also provide a ‘Progress Over Time’ tool that automatically generates a basic time-lapse video showcasing the project’s development thus far.

DATA REDUNDANCY

ENSURING IMAGES REMAIN SAFE

With Site-Eye you can be confident that nobody else can access your images and films:

  • All access to the images is via a secure login over an encrypted connection
  • All API use requires a whitelisted address and an authenticated connection
  • On-Site Servers are in locked rooms with access only granted to essential staff

Our camera systems can store images for weeks or more at a time in the event that there is a comms breakdown between the camera system and our servers. The camera will continue taking images even in a comms blackout, this ensures we don’t miss a vital part of the project.

The camera system transmits the image to a cloud based distribution system. This provides another layer of data security as the server is independent of our own servers and will remain unaffected in the event of an issue with our systems. The cloud service we use has achieved 100% up-time over the last few years.

Our cloud based distribution system transmits the images to our own servers in two separate geographical locations in the UK.

Our image storage servers use RAID technology to ensure your images are safe even in the event of a hard drive failure.

Each image storage server has an identical hardware clone stored in a separate location which is updated every night. In the case of a total server failure, we can switch to the clone with minimal disruption.

After a period of time all our images are duplicated and moved to cold storage in a separate location to our offices.
